Dr. Kavir Saxena
Medical Director
Dr. Kavir Saxena is a psychiatrist whose career has been shaped by a commitment to expanding access to mental health care in rural communities. As the founder of Midwest Psychiatry PC, he partners with hospitals and clinics across several states to deliver inpatient, outpatient, and geriatric psychiatric services where they are needed most. Over the years, he has taken on leadership roles as Medical Director for multiple behavioral health units.
Education and mentorship are central to Dr. Saxena’s work. He teaches and supervises psychiatry residents and medical students through the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Creighton University, and Lincoln Memorial University, helping train the next generation of clinicians who will serve the region.
Board certified in both adult and child psychiatry, Dr. Saxena completed his training at the Medical College of Virginia/VCU and the Virginia Treatment Center for Children, building on his medical education at King George’s Medical College in India. His practice reflects a blend of clinical expertise, leadership, and a long‑standing dedication to patient‑centered care.
