At Riverview Behavioral Health, we are firmly committed to providing care and treatment to individuals throughout their lifespan. We believe in offering dignity and respect for people of all ages in our calm, healing, and nurturing environment. Our top-of-the-line Therapeutic Day Treatment is a program that provides care for individuals from the ages of 5 through 18 who are struggling with emotional, mental, and behavioral problems that prevent them from being able to fully participate properly in a traditional school-like setting. This initiative allows the compassionate staff to have an amazingly positive impact in the lives of children who are at risk, thereby reducing the need for more intensive treatment – such as hospitalization – through our proactive approach to care.
Our therapeutic day program allows us to combine innovative and creative approaches to mental health treatment provided in a therapeutic environment with education. At Riverview Behavioral Health, we know that each child who comes to us for help has untapped potential that can change the world for the better, which is why we provide such focused and individualized care for each of our patients. To best meet the needs of our population, we offer two therapeutic day treatment programs. Our Children’s Program is aimed to treat children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old and is staffed by compassionate therapists and supportive staff who are trained to most effectively meet and treat the needs of children between these ages. Our Adolescent Program is for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18 years old and is similarly staffed with individuals well-trained at how to treat, reach, and teach adolescents on a level that they understand. These programs both run from 8:00AM to 3:30PM Monday through Friday, allowing your child or teen to return home in the evenings.
Our Therapeutic Day Treatment provides your child or adolescent with a variety of treatment options aimed to treat your child as the unique person he or she is. We offer a wide variety of programs that may include, but are certainly not limited to the following:
- On-site schooling certified by the Arkansas Department of Education
- Counseling services
- Child and adolescent psychiatry
- Psychological testing
- Individual, group, and family therapies
- Education, information, and training
- Recreational activities and services
- Medication education
- Case management
We look forward to working with you and your family so that we can help restore your child or adolescent to the highest level of functioning possible in a safe, nurturing environment.
